Headway or Divi?
Headway Themes and Divi by Elegant Themes are two very popular Drag & Drop (D&D) WordPress themes and each can accomplish much of the same things. However, if you are looking to purchase one or the other, I have a suggestion based on your needs. Here’s my take on when to choose which.
Divi by Elegant Themes
I absolutely love Divi and I’m a huge fan of Elegant Themes for making such an amazing product. It’s design out of the box is stunning and the page builder is so easy to work with. If you are a beginner, you won’t find an easier theme to work with, especially given Divi’s immense customization power. Divi lets users customize their WordPress pages in almost any way imaginable and it comes with a ton of build-in modules to add functionality and awesome design features to any page. Divi also comes with plenty of pre-made page templates to let you quickly build phenomenal layouts for things like your portfolio, contact info, and more.

Headway Themes
Headway has been touted as the best drag and drop theme for WordPress and that’s for good reason. Headway is certainly a fantastic WordPress theme and is very very powerful. In overall flexibility, Headway has a slight edge over Divi because it gives you the ability to virtually draw and layout you want, whereas Divi limits you to standard columns (1/2, 1/3, 1/4, etc.). Also, some of the Headway blocks (akin to Divi’s modules) are more powerful because you can set things like visibility settings. However, Headway doesn’t come with the beautiful design that Divi does unless you like and choose to use one of the pre-made skins available.

Which Should You Choose
If I am an average WordPress user (i.e. someone who doesn’t know a lot of code and just wants a simple, beautiful website that’s easy to customize), I’m choosing Divi from Elegant Themes, all day every day. The built-in design elements and ease of use are way too amazing to pass up if I am looking for a normal website that I want to control without any headache. However, if I’m more experienced and have requirements that are more advanced, I would explore Headway. Overall, I’d go with Divi because it’s advantages and features are worth more to me than those of Headway (and that’s not to devalue Headway in any manner: Divi is just that amazing).
