I am very pleased to announce that my small team and I are the new owners of EngageWP.com.
Over the years, Ren has created an incredible resource for WordPress developers and WordPress site owners. I’ve been reading the WordPress tutorials he’s written on the site, and my only hope is that we can continue to provide as much value to EngageWP’s readership going forward.
WordPress Tutorials & Blogging at EngageWP
As I explained in the email I sent to our email list members, my business partner and I are not WordPress developers, at least not per my definition of the role. I am experienced with WordPress and can play around with code to tweak plugins and themes, especially on the Genesis Framework. Yet, I’m no where near Ren’s level of WordPress know-how. (I went into more details about my background in the email, if you’re not yet a member, join the free Newsletter to receive a copy).
However, EngageWP will continue to provide help and knowledgeable tutorials in the future. My own posts will focus more on the business-side of things, running an online business, web hosting, marketing, and SEO. I may throw in more technical posts here and there, but my plan is to have guest bloggers or a resident blogger with experience in WordPress development be published here to share their own tips and tutorials.
As for frequency, I believe in quality over quantity. My aim for now is for at least two quality posts per month, and eventually more as we get the ball rolling.
WordPress Products, Services & Development at EngageWP
EngageWP also has a WordPress products, services and development arm. You can still purchase the amazing Summation Genesis Child Theme Ren created, as well as his great Genesis Author Box plugin. Memberships are also available.
Going forward, the plan is to create more WordPress themes and plugins by partnering with WordPress developers I’ve either worked with in the past or new ones. More details on this will come out in the coming months.
In short, I’m very honored to be able to work on EngageWP and will do my best to keep the quality level of the site on par with what it has been so far.
Do not hesitate to email me if you have any questions.
